Based in Greenville, North Carolina, Janus Development Group, Inc. is dedicated to enhancing the lives of those with disabilities by coordinating the development of assistive living devices.

Many individuals and organizations who identify and develop early stage assistive technology generally lack adequate experience or resources to develop, manufacture, and/or market products or services to the public. Janus Development Group, Inc. was established to specifically address this need.

Background
Following 10 years of research at East Carolina University in Greenville North Carolina, and in conjunction with the L.T. Walker International Human Performance Center, Janus Development Group, Inc. was formed to bring two revolutionary devices into the lives of individuals with disabilities.

Janus Development Group, Inc. SpeechEasy™ devices are based on the connection between stuttering and the neurological coordination of speech.

The WAFT Wheelchair Aerobic Fitness Trainer is a wheelchair treadmill that was initially developed for the Veteran's Administration. It allows a manual wheelchair occupant (adult or child) to board the treadmill in his/her own chair for cardiac stress testing, cardiac or stroke rehabilitation, muscular fitness or aerobic training. Currently only institutional models are available. Commercial models are currently being developed.
